Time to "roll" this month out

Time to shoot 'em up, Metroid style! This month we're giving a huge shout out to the video game franchises' first strong female hero!

Enjoy this scene featuring Samus emerging from one of the classic doors to face Ridley.

June Power-Up Palette

Enjoy this alternate palette for your Mega Man and all his original weapon schemes, Rolling Cutter, Super Arm, Ice Slasher, Hyper Bomb, Fire Storm, and Thunder Beam!

Do you still have your energy up for this?

Time to get back to platforming, just don't fall into the holes! This month we enjoy the Blue Bomber, Mega Man, a game that gave me hours, days, months of frustration, as well as fun times.

Enjoy this scene featuring Mega Man, Dr. Wily,  and an Energy Tank.

Check out the "Power-Up Palette" Section for the most options yet! Change to any of the Mega Man Weapon color schemes.

May Power-Up Palette

Enjoy this alternate palette for your Black Mage's Spell to change your "Fire" spell to an "Ice", "Ice3", or "Nuke" spell

My Fantasy is a reality

This month we see my favorite series of all time as well as my favorite character of all time! Final Fantasy has kept me entertained for as long as I've been alive and if I had the chance to become one fictional character it would be a toss up between a water bender (Avatar Universe) or a Black Mage.

Enjoy this scene featuring Garland, Black Mage Warrior of Light, casting a "Fire" spell

Check out the "Power-Up Palette" Section for color schemes to change your "Fire" spell to an "Ice", "Ice3", or "Nuke" spell

Who's Hungry For More?

This month takes us back to the arcade style games released for the NES. Everyone loved puzzle games like tetris and Dr. Mario, and just as much they fell in love with the platforming puzzles such as Donkey Kong, Wrecking Crew, and BURGER TIME!

Enjoy this scene featuring Peter Pepper, Mr. Egg, and elements of the Burger platform

(No Power-Up Palette for April as non were used in this game)

Which element would represent you?

Been working on this for a while. A little more detailed with some fractional stitches and backstitching. I've taken two of my most favorite "things" and crossed them. Presenting "The Last Game Benders" - The Last Air Bender meets NES.

Featuring our water benders the Ice Climbers

Fire bending Mario

Link equipped his power gloves to move (bend) that earth

and Kirby traded in his shooting star to bend an air scooter

Who will have the Highest Score?

Let's see who can rack up the "HI SCORE" .... or whatever else you want to put there. I've traditionally always put my initials and the year on every project I've completed and designed a clever way to do it on the PixSAL. Don't feel pressured to use my example though. Use the alphabet provided, or another of your choosing, honestly, and put that creative, personal touch on your very own PixSAL 2021!

(there is enough room provided for 15 of the full size letters with one "pixel" space between each. The punctuation characters are smaller)

March Power-Up Palette

Enjoy this alternate palette for Kirby, representing the palette swaps Freeze and Fireball Kirby!.

Fluffly and hungry… Just like me!

Oh now, what is there to say about this one? Everyone knows Kirby right? I remember my mother getting me this game for my 8th birthday, which March is my birthday month, thus seems appropriate to release this cream puff this month!

Enjoy this scene featuring Kirby, King Dedede, and a shooting star!

Check out the "Power-Up Palette" section for the color scheme for Freeze and Fireball Kirby!

February Power-Up Palette

Enjoy this alternate palette for Q-Bert, representing the palette swaps when playing player 2.

Don't go over the edge! We're just getting started

One of the first times that our video game characters joined in with the fans of cursing at the fact that they failed, Q-bert brings back a lot of fond memories for me, being my mother's favorite game when I was growing up. I would sit and watch her for hours sometimes just seeing how far she could get and then being upset when my young self could only get through a few stages without *!#?@!ing it up!

Enjoy this scene featuring Q-Bert, Coily, and the infamous (*!#?@!) bubble!

Check out the "Power-Up Pallette" section for the color scheme for player 2 (green) Q-Bert!

January Power-Up Palette

Enjoy these alternate palettes for Pit, representing the palette swaps when arrow upgrades are acquired.

Are you ready-icus?

 Press Start

Kid Icarus was one of the earliest gaming memories I have in my life. Extremely fond memories... shooting down enemies, getting upgrades and stronger arrows (although I wanted to stay green lol) and smashing with the hammers! Of course, back then, without the internet, and my young age, I had no idea how to turn back after I had been turned into an eggplant! I had even more disdain for the vegetable sorcerer after watching Captain N.

Enjoy this scene featuring Pit, Eggplant Wizard, and a Big Heart!
